Shehzada is the Hindi adaptation of the Telugu blockbuster, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. While the original was a perfect blend of comedy, action, and emotions, the Hindi adaptation falls flat in comparison.

Kartik Aaryan, known for his roles in light-hearted romantic comedies, attempts to break his image by stepping into the shoes of Allu Arjun’s character. His earnest attempt is appreciated but he fails to deliver the charm and intensity required for the role.

Paresh Rawal as Valmiki and Ronit Roy as Jindall give decent performances, but their characters lack depth and fail to create an impact. Manisha Koirala as Bantu’s mother is wasted in a small role.

Kriti Sanon as the female lead has nothing much to do but look pretty and dance in the songs. Rajpal Yadav and Ali Asgar’s characters are reduced to mere comic relief and fail to create any laughter.

Director Rohit Dhawan fails to recreate the magic of the original, which had a perfect balance of comedy, action, and emotions. The pacing of the film is slow and the screenplay lacks depth, making the film predictable and boring.

The songs, composed by Tanishk Bagchi, are forgettable and fail to create any impact. The background score by Sandeep Shirodkar is loud and overbearing at times.
