Bheed First Glimpse Out – Anubhav Sinha’s upcoming film “Bheed Announcement” challenges the conventional use of color in contemporary Indian cinema by telling a hard-hitting story of migrant workers during the 2020 Indian pandemic lockdown entirely in black and white. Starring Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar, the film’s stark visuals intentionally evoke the traumatic memory of the 1947 partition of the Indian subcontinent into India and Pakistan, where millions were uprooted from their homes in the largest migration in history. Through its unique aesthetic, “Bheed” delivers a poignant message about the plight of those who are left behind and forgotten during times of crisis.

Sinha’s latest film “Bheed” is a poignant portrayal of how the COVID-19 pandemic brought social disparity to the forefront, reminiscent of the partition of India in 1947. Shot entirely in black and white, the film captures the stark reality of how people’s lives were turned upside down in an instant, and the colors of their lives faded away as the country was divided.
Produced by T-Series “Bheed” is a unique blend of history and modern times, a story that is both timeless and relevant to our current situation. Through powerful visuals and evocative storytelling, the film captures the resilience and humanity of people in the face of adversity, and how even in the most perilous times, hope and love can prevail.
